Description
The USDA Forest Service, Boise National Forest, intends to acquire by contract the following services: ATLANTA SOUTH STEWARDSHIP PROJECT, Integrated Resource Service Contract - Measurement Before Harvest (Tree-Measurement). Fuel reduction project which includes Timber Removal and associated slash disposal on approximately 357 acres; Commercial Harvest, Pre-Commercial Thinning, Hand Piling of Commercial and Pre-commercial Slash, Yarding Unutilizable Material, and Machine Piling of Slash on approximately 298 acres. The project is located on the Idaho City Ranger District of the Boise National Forest. Travel approximately 18 miles NE of Idaho City to Edna Creek (FS 384). Follow FS 384 to North Fork Boise River and turning left on FS 327 continuing to FS 268. Turn left onto FS 268 and follow to Atlanta. The legal description is T.5 N., R. 11 E., Sections 2-4. T. 6 N., R. 11 E., Sections 35 and 36. Boise Meridian, Elmore County, Idaho. The Forest Service intends to issue a solicitation for this project utilizing FAR Part 12 procedures for commercial contracting. This acquisition is available for full and open competition amongst all responsible offerors. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror (IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) whose bid is of the best value based upon the evaluation factors provided in the solicitation. This contract is subject to the Service Contract Act of 1965. This solicitation will be available on or about July 24, 2009. The period of performance for this project is (approx) 2 years beginning September 15, 2009. The anticipated contract award for this project is September 7, 2009. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the bidder will render a bidder ineligible for award.
