- THIS PROJECT IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE - NAICS CODE = 236220 = $33.5M The FAA is seeking experienced small business firms to perform the work as described: Construction of a 30' x 12' lean-to addition to the north wall of the existing Pump House Building and the replacement of three (3) existing condenser water pumps (P-3A, P-3B, and P-3C), 75 hp motors, level switches or transmitters and probes with new at the existing pump house at the Indianapolis ARTCC in Indianapolis, Indiana.Work under this transmittal includes, but is not limited to, the following:Pump House:1.Remove existing sidewalk and clear area north of existing Pump House.2.Remove existing canopy from north wall of the existing Pump House.3.Replace insulated exterior wall panels of the existing Pump House. 4.Excavate, fill and compact soil in preparation for new concrete footings and floor slab.5.Construct a new 30' x 12' Pump House addition including the following: reinforced concrete footings and slab-on-grade, steel structural system, insulated metal roof and wall panels, metal floor grating, steel doors and frames, and interior 2-hr rated partition wall per project drawings.6.Provide concrete ramp and sidewalk at Pump House addition as indicated on the drawings.7.Provide interior pendent-mounted lighting fixtures, exit lights, exterior light and power outlets at the new Pump House addition.8.Replace existing concrete sidewalk and slab at the northeast entrance to the Automation Wing as. Provide landscaping improvements. Pump house extension:9.Remove and replace three (3) existing 75 hp cooling tower condenser water pumping stations with new. Each station will be replaced with new pump, motor, level switch (transmitter) and probe.10.Install new electric unit heater, exhaust fan and motor operating damper and louver for new pump house extension. Provide all required controls.11.Other work as required on the project drawings and in the specifications. Offer range is between $100,000 and $250,000 with a performance time of approximately 60 calendar days. Construction start is anticipated for September/October 2009. The Request For Offer is anticipated to be available by August/September 2009. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
