- Contractor support for Air Force Global Strike Command and Eighth Air Force. This is a Sources sought synopsis being conducted pursuant to FAR Part 10, Market Research. This is for planning purposes only and there is no solicitation available at this time. This is an initial step in the planning process to acquire support for the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) and Eighth Air Force (8AF). AFGSC and 8AF require contractor support for the following positions: Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication Systems (JWICS) personnel (4 each), Program Manager personnel (2 each), Information Technology (IT) personnel (2 each) and Nuclear C3 personnel (1 each). Personnel are required to provide technical/analytical support and expertise in a wide variety of tasks in support of strategic deterrence, global strike, nuclear and cyberspace operations. The 2nd Contracting Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, seeks potential sources that can supply the professional and technical personnel to fill these positions. All businesses capable of performing this effort are invited to respond with capability packages no later than 4 Aug 09. Businesses shall provide information sufficient enough to allow the Government to assess their capablity to provide the required support, to include past/current performance under existing Government contracts. Any information provided as a result of this sources sought is voluntary and the Government will not pay for any information submitted. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) is 541990, All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services, which has a small business size standard of $7M. This sources sought should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach.
