Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. ONE (1) TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FORDIGIAL AUTOCOLLIMATOR.Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. Thisnotice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendmentwill not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to respond to vendor questions. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended.Q1. Working with a manufacturer who raised the points below regarding the autocollimatoryou are requesting. And in order to provide you with the best quote possible quote, Ihope you can follow-up with me.The T160HR is not the model that is recommended for a target that is only 5 mm. TheT160HR beam diameter is 30 mm so only a very small % reflection would be obtained from a5 mm mirror. Instead, recommendation is for a mirror of at least 50 mm for use with aT160HR. For a 5mm target at 2 meters, the recommendation is for a TL160HR. This autocollimatoruses a laser light source with a 10 mm diameter emitted beam.A 5mm diameter target isstill not ideal but should at least provide an adequate signal. It should have a rangeof about +/- 300 arc-seconds at a working distance of 2 meters. All of the data acquisition is done via the E3 controller which has analog outputs foreach axis, an RS-232 serial interface and a digital display. For measurements up to 500readings-per-second the RS-232 can be used. For readings up to 4000 readings-per-secondthe analog outputs should be used.Of course, the T160HR can be provided, but I wanted to make you aware of these points andask your thoughts.A1: The TL160 HR would be acceptable, and would meet our requirements.Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASAAcquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on 07/16/2009.
