Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT AND IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Drug Enforcement Administration is seeking information from firms that are capable of providing application support services in support of the Office of Information Systems. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 541511. The scope of work consists of: Operational support, maintenance and enhancement for Model 204 applications. The contractor shall furnish System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) services to the DEA IT program office hereafter referred to as SI, in support of the operations and maintenance of all (be specific - need to define the universe) currently operating Model 204 applications. The contractor shall provide SDLC services on enhancement requirements as identified by the government representative. The contractor shall provide user training on the use of the application (to whom and how many?). The contractor shall provide all necessary deliverables that are needed for deployment(of what and to whom?) and communicate the status of all tasks on a weekly and monthly basis (is it one deliverable each week? If so, what is the monthly deliverable?). The contractor shall also ensure DEA management that all operational Model 204 applications are operational at maximum performance and with minimum downtime periods. The contract shall provide support to change the user(how many) interface from the traditional "green screen" format into a web based presentation using the Sirius Software, Inc. suite of tools, Janus Web Server, for Model 204 Applications as identified by the government representative. (What is the period of performance? Do we have a timeframe or should we ask the contractors to provide one?) _________________________________________________________________ This is NOT a notice of solicitation issuance, but rather, a request for information from industry that will allow the Government to identify interested sources capable of meeting the requirement. The information sought herein is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal (RFP) or as an obligation or commitment on the part of the Government to acquire any product or service. There shall be no basis for claims against the Government as a result of information submitted in response to this RFI. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI, or otherwise pay for any information submitted by respondents to this request. Interested parties are requested to submit a capability statement not more than five (5) pages in length that demonstrates the respondent's ability to meet the requirement as specified herein. In addition, respondents shall provide a rough order of magnitude cost for the required support services. All proprietary or corporate data received shall be clearly identified and shall be protected from release to sources outside the Government. Responses shall be submitted electronically (Microsoft Word for Office 2002 compatible format or PDF) or other written document. Failure to respond to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future associated RFP that may be issued. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to monitor this site for the release of any follow-on information to this sources sought notice. All responses shall be submitted by 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, August 4, 2009. Responses shall be forwarded to: Office of Acquisition Management (FA), Attn: Jana Chidester, Contract Specialist - telephone number (202) 307-7802; e-mail: jana.j.chidester@usdoj.gov
