- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO CONTRACTORS PREVIOUSLY AWARDED CONTRACTS FOR THIS WORK UNDER BPA SOLICITATION NUMBER AG-04GG-S-09-0008. Work includes fuels management using a Low Ground Pressure Excavator with a Rotating Grapple resulting in desired fuels reduction with minimum damage to reserve trees and soil. Treatment includes slash piling of logging, pre-commercial thinning and natural slash consisting of vegetative material including stems, limbs, broken tops, cull logs, chunks and pushed out stumps and root wads. Project areas are within recently harvested stands and areas that have not been harvested for many years or other areas identified on unit specifications sheets consisting of approximately 3,900 acres within the Deschutes National Forest.
