- Q1700090638. This solicitation as well as any issued amendments will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about August 14, 2009. A PAPER SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Telephone, fax, or email requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation services and supplies required to replace oil fired HVAC systems with propane HVAC systems in three buildings on McFarland Hill in Acadia National Park in accordance with the specifications and drawings in solicitation and the accepted proposal. The work of this contract consists of removing the existing oil fired boilers and furnaces with appurtenances, electric water heaters, duct work, diffusers, unused electrical circuits, fuel lines, chimneys and flues. Repair and refinish penetrations of walls, ceilings and roofs left by the removals. Furnish and install propane hot water boilers/furnaces, domestic hot water sources, and heat pumps. Install fuel lines and propane provider furnished fuel tanks. Quoters must provide a technical proposal as well as price for this solicitation. The Government intends to evaluate proposals and make award without discussions. All work will be performed under a single contract. Work on site must be completed on or before October 30, 2009. NAICS 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. This solicitation is issued on unrestricted basis. Estimated price is under $100,000. A site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 10:00 am. Meet at Park Headquarters, Route 233, McFarland Hill, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine, Hard copy quote documents only shall be accepted for this solicitation (no faxed or electronic quote documents will be accepted). Quotes must be received by close of business on September 9, 2009. Complete quote packages may be mailed to Contract Specialist, Acadia National Park, P. O. Box 177, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609 or delivered by FedEx, UPS, or hand carried to Contract Specialist, Acadia National Park, Route 233, McFarland Hill, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609. A complete quote package shall include one copy of completed SF 18, Request for Quotation, with original signature; completed quote schedule; technical proposal; and completed section K, Representations and Certifications.
