- RECOVERY-(ARRA)-Alamosa NWR Ditch Dam- Design/Build TAS: 14 910 1610 FFSS: R6GA THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS ADVERTISED AS FULL & OPEN COMPETITION. THE UPCOMING ACQUISITION WILL FALL UNDER NAICS 237990, CONSTRUCT EMBANKMENT DITCH DAMS WITH A SIZE STANDARD OF $33.5M. This project includes providing all materials, equipment, and labor required to design and build New Embankment Ditch Dam structure in the Rio Grande River, for enhanced water management capabilities for Alamosa NWR, Alamosa, Colorado, as per drawings and specifications that will be attached to the upcoming solicitation. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE Prospective Offerors are highly encouraged to visit the work area in order to examine the existing site conditions by making arrangements with the Project Leader. Site Visit information will be listed in the solicitation. GENERAL INFORMATION The project will be solicited using a negotiated procurement process through the issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP), with the intent to award a firm fixed price contract to the offeror whose proposal is determined to be the overall "Best Value" considering cost and all other evaluated criteria of the RFP. The specific evaluation process will be outlined in the forthcoming solicitation. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $250,000.00 and $750,000.00. The total performance period is 120 days from the Notice to Proceed, this period will include all aspects of the project including design. The solicitation package (RFP) is anticipated to be available electronically on or about 10 August 2009 to all firms with an anticipated closing date of 9 Sep 2009. Copies of the solicitation, specifications, and drawings can be obtained at http://www.fedbizopps.gov once available for issuance.
