- This pre-solicitation and solicitation synopsis is for a construction contract for canopy renovations and new stair enclosure on Buildings 1B, and Nitrogen Farm and East side of Building1B, at Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, PA. Building 1B: Work to include, but not limited to: partial demolition of the existing loading dock; dismantling for reuse of existing condensing units and the dismantling of the roof and structure of the existing compressor building. Construct a three story metal stair case with a hoist way to safely access the roof area of Building 1B. Build a new set of enclosed metal stairs; install metal standing seam roofing over the new stair well and the reconstructed roof frame of the compressor building; any other incidental related work. Building 1B Nitrogen Farm and East side: Work to include but not limited to: covering the existing tension supported flat/pitched canopies with a light steel framed truss system and ready to receive a standing seam pre-manufactured metal panel roof; apply fascia moulding, trim detailing and soffit coverings; install access doors and panels; provide miscellaneous steel repairs to steel columns; joining canopies to existing roof system; extending piping, ductwork, fans and vents through new canopy; relocate HVAC equipment (condensers and packaged units) to upper roof areas; rain water collection systems will be altered / terminated; relocate and re-install fire suppression notification system equipment; relocate and re-install electrical and electronic equipment; provide and install new lighting; provide any required structural support and foundation; and any other incidental related work. Estimated magnitude is between $1 Million $5 Million. NAICS is 238170 (Siding Contractors); average annual receipts $14.0 Million. Solicitation Number W25G1V-09-B-0004 applies. This solicitation including specifications and drawings, will be issued electronically only. No paper or disk will be available. Issue is in accordance with FAR 4.502, 5.102(d) and 14.205. Failure to obtain amendments and/or acknowledgments by the time set bid opening may result in rejection of your bid. Due to the use of electronic solicitation, the Government is unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Bidders are encouraged to register as a potential source for this solicitation (see top of screen for POTENTIAL SOURCES) and view the registered firms under Potential Sources logo on the internet site. Bidders are further notified that bids must be submitted in HARD COPY ONLY. ELECTRONIC BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Estimated issue/opening dates are 17 August 2009 and 16 September 2009. Actual issue and open dates shall be established in the solicitation.
