- This is a pre-solicitation notice for a contractor to provide an unassembled 165' x 4' pedestrian bridge- 3 span - 35'/ 65' / 65'- Design live load = 85 psf- Ship unassembled to Peninsula, Ohio 44264- Bridge to match concrete foundations and anchor points- Pieces to be lightweight with maximum weight at 90 lbs.- Bridge pieces to be designed to be person portable, easy to assemble and erect without heavy equipment- Assembly instructions to be easy and clear to follow- Bridge to be made from fiberglass support trusses- Handrail to be 54" high with safety rails max. 9" opening and have a smooth running top cap- All hardware to be A307 galvanized- Fiberglass components to be Olive Green- Supply mounting clips to attach bridge to anchor bolts- Decking to be 3" x 12" #2 rough sawn pressure treated southern yellow pine attached with carriage bolts- Stiffen bridge for lateral loading with solid horizontal bracing under bridge structure- Bridge to meet minimum ASTHO pedestrian fiberglass bridge specifications- All three bridge spans to have same profile The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 321214. Quotes from all responsible sources will be considered. The RFQ will be posted to the websites, http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about August 13, 2009. No hard copies of the RFQ will be mailed or issued. To receive the Request for Quotes solicitation package you must download it from http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
