- This pre-solicitation and solicitation synopsis is for a construction contract to renovate the canopy and portion of Flat Roof Areas on Buildings 5 and 7, at Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, PA. Work to include, but is not limited to: Covering the existing tension supported flat pitched canopies with a light steel framed truss system and a standing seam pre-manufactured metal panel roof; applying fascia mouldings, trim detailing and soffit coverings; installing access doors and panels. Painting miscellaneous exposed metals needed to complete the installation to match new canopy system; extending the existing piping, ductwork and fans through the new canopy. The fire sprinkler system water gongs currently located on the building elevation shall be removed and new devices provided at locations below the canopy roof line. Re-locate and re-install electrical and electronic equipment; provide and install new lighting. Power shall be provided from the buildings existing electrical system. Provide any required structural support and foundation. Provide miscellaneous concrete and bituminous pavement repairs at foundation excavations; and any other incidental related work. Estimated magnitude is between $1 Million $5 Million. NAICS is 238170 (Siding Contractors); average annual receipts $14.0 Million. Solicitation Numbers W25G1V-09-B-0003 applies. This solicitation including specifications and drawings, will be issued electronically only. No paper or disk will be available. Issue is in accordance with FAR 4.502, 5.102(d) and 14.205. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date at the following internet address: https://abop.monmouth.army.mil/ At the IBOP, at NEW USERS, follow instructions to register. After obtaining a password (usually provided within 24 hours), go to the IBOP, under ARMY SOLICITATIONS choose CECOM-2009 from the drop box, enter W25G1V-09-B-0003 and hit SEARCH. It is incumbent that any interested sources periodically access the internet site to obtain any amendments. Failure to obtain amendments and/or acknowledgments by the time set bid opening may result in rejection of your bid. Due to the use of electronic solicitation, the Government is unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Bidders are encouraged to register as a potential source for this solicitation (see top of screen for POTENTIAL SOURCES) and view the registered firms under Potential Sources logo on the internet site. Bidders are further notified that bids must be submitted in HARD COPY ONLY. ELECTRONIC BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Estimated issue/opening dates are 17 August 2009 and 16 September 2009. Actual issue and open dates shall be established in the solicitation.
