Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written (formal) solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), solicitation number M67854-09-Q-8138 in accordance with FAR Parts 12.6 & 13.5. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-34, effective 01July 2009. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote, which if received timely, will be considered by the agency. Please read and comply with all requirements for submitting a quote. Failure to comply with all instructions contained within this combined synopsis/ solicitation could result in the quote being ineligible for award. It is the offeror's responsibility to ensure their quote meets all the requirements identified herein. The United States Marine Corps has a requirement to expand the capabilities of existing live fire training facilities at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico, VA, with Shock Absorbing Concrete (SACON). The contractor shall perform a mix of design, fabrication, installation, integration, verification and fielding of the SACON structures. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible bidder proposal conforming to the solicitation which will be most advantageous and BEST VALUE to the Government, price and other factors considered.
