- Item 0001: NSN: 6635-01-073-7485RN, Part Number 68D050090-1001, Ultrasonic Calibration Kit. This is a calibration kit used to detect cracks on the F-15 longeron. It uses ultrasonic technology, similar to what is used for an ultrasound. The kit contains four calibration bars, made of aluminum and steel and a fiberglass carrying case. The case dimensions are 13" long, 11" wide, and 6" high. Requirement is for two (2) each in the basic year with four (4) additional options with quantities ranging from 1-4. Delivery is 270 days ARO Contract. The RFP is being issued on a sole source basis to McDonnell Douglas 76301, Cage Code 76301, due to a lack of manufacturing/technical data to provide to any other source. Solicitation is expected to be issued approximately 15 Aug 2009 with response due 30 Aug 2009. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The RFP will NOT be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov.
