- Description: RECOVERY- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR THE INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. THE ACTION DESCRIBED HEREIN IS A MODIFICATION TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT # DOL- J06 PA00001. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW. This opportunity is available only to Horizons Youth Services, Inc. under contract number # DOL- J06 PA00001. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management on behalf of the Office of Job Corps intends to award a modification in the amount of $316,879 to the Whitney Young Job Corps Center operated by the Horizons Youth Services, Inc. These funds are provided under The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The funding is within the not-to exceed ceiling for Construction/Rehab on this contract. It would be impracticable to use a fixed price contract to secure services of the kind or quality required for this modification, since the modification is to an existing Cost Plus Incentive Fee contract (Cost Reimbursement Contract). The funding is intended to correct the following facility deficiencies: Improve recreation space, Exterior wall deficiency. Additional deficiencies to be corrected at the Pine Knot Job Corps Center located in Pine Knot, KY: Roof Repairs The operator of the Whitney Young Job Corps Center will procure the services of local construction and service providers, by making these funds available through subcontracting opportunities, following all applicable FAR procurement regulations. It is anticipated that this Modification will be awarded fifteen (15) days after the date of this announcement.
