- GSA’s Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center (3QSA) will be consolidating all Federal Supply Class 71 Multiple Award Schedules and contracts into one consolidated Solicitation/Schedule for FSC Class 71. The new Schedule 71 will be entitled “FSC 71 – Furniture” and is a combination of all existing FSC 71 Schedules which include Schedule 71, Part I – Office Furniture; Schedule 71, Part II – Household and Quarters Furniture; Schedule 71, Part III – Special Use Furniture; Schedule 71 Part III, Section E – Security Furniture; and Schedule 71 Part II, Section H – Packaged Furniture. The Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center will also be consolidating all clauses and move all Special Item Numbers (SIN'S) into one consolidated Solicitation for FSC Class 72 Schedules. The new Schedule 72 will be entitled "FSC 72- Furnishing and Floor Coverings”, and is a combination of all existing FSC 72 Schedules which are: Schedule 72 Part II Furnishings; and Schedule 72 Part I Section A Floor Coverings. Current contractors need not respond to this notice. Contractors with multiple contracts will be consolidated into one contract. All terms and conditions will remain the same from each contract and be moved in their entirety to the new consolidated contract. Small business set-aside contracts will not be merged into non-set-aside contracts. The new solicitations will issue on or after October 1, 2009. Offers and modifications under the current solicitations/contracts will not be accepted after August 31, 2009. All new offers/modifications under current solicitations/contracts must be received on or before August 31, 2009 in order to be considered. After October 1, 2009, interested parties may access the solicitation at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This site provides instructions for downloading the solicitation files.
