- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number Q8790090013 is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for 20 ft Boat to be delivered to War in the Pacific National Historic Park. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Current Federal Acquisition Circular Includes Amendments from FAC 2005-33, FAC 2005-34, and FAC 2005-35 Effective on or before July 15, 2009. This acquisition is conducted under a Small Business Set-aside. The North American Standard Industrial Classification System code is 336612 and the small business size standard is 251-500 employees.Statement of Work/Specifications: The Contractor shall furnish and deliver the following: DESIGNPlaning Monohull;LOA20 feet;BEAM7 feet; CAPACITY6 pax or 1200 lbs;FUEL SYSTEM18 US Gallons;FUEL FILTER 30 micron water separating;STEERING SYSTEMTeleflex NFB cable;POWER115 hp SUZUKI 4-cycle 25" shaft and/or similar to; BATTERYDelco Marine Grp 27 and/or similar to;WIRINGmarine grade tinned copper; ACCESSORIESCompass, Marine VHF Radio and antenna; Design includes self-bailing deck, llightweight hardtop with special drains, solid FRP seating, rope chafe guards, SS cleats; Performance over 30 mph in lightship configuration All systems including lighting, fuel, electrical and steering meet or exceed USCG requirements. $_______________________________, Unit Price $___________________, TOTAL COST. Contractors shall submit a copy of the proposed boat manufacturer's material product data and a manufacturer's certification that material supplied meets the requirements of the specifications. Destination. The following evaluation criteria will be used to evaluate proposal submission: The ability to meet the required delivery date of 15 September2009 or sooner, and cost. The evaluation criteria are approximately equal in importance. Award of any purchase order resulting from this solicitation will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation will be based on best value to the Government, cost or price and other factors considered. Price will be a factor in the award decision, although the award may not necessarily be made to that offeror submitting the lowest price. The Government reserves the right to make award without further discussion. Quotes may be submitted via e-mail. Quotes shall include the following information: A) Complete list of item listed above with unit price, extended total and grand total; B) Technical information: (1) the ability to meet the required delivery schedule of September 15, 2009 or sooner. Include a minimum of three references to document ability to meet delivery schedules on projects of similar scope. Include name of company, contact name and phone number, description and dollar value of project. (2) Description of country of origin for the item; (3) Completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offer or Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items.
