Description

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Vehicle Research and Test Center intends to conduct a sole source procurement with The MathWorks, Inc. for maintenance of MATLAB and Simulink software for the period September 1, 2009 to March 1, 2011. The MathWorks developed the software and is the only authorized provider. This procurement includes upgrades, support and maintenance. This notice is not a Request for Quote and no solicitation will be publicized. This acquisition will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 13; and the Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b).Interested parties may provide a written response to this notice by 1:00 P.M. (EST), August 10, 2009. Responses that clearly demonstrate the offeror’s ability to meet all requirements and offer a more advantageous product to the Government will be considered. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the government. If no written response is received, or the response does not clearly show the offeror’s ability to meet all requirements and offer a more advantageous product to the Government, VRTC will negotiate and award a fixed price contract on a sole source basis to The MathWorks, Inc.
