- INTERNET ANNOUNCEMENT The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement to provide Janitorial / Custodial Services for Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) located at the General Mitchell International Airport 5330 S. Howell Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53207 and Timmerman Airport, 5001 N. 91st Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53225. This procurement will be 100% set-aside for Small Business firms NAICS code 561720 (Janitorial Services). Contractors to provide proof that they have an active business office for a minimum of one (1) year that is within a one hundred mile (100) radius of the FAA (ATCT), General Mitchell International Airport 5330 S. Howell Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53207 and Timmerman Airport, 5001 N. 91st Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53225. (Map Quest will be the tool used to determine distance from contractors address to the Milwaukee (ATCT). Also the contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration website at http://www.ccr.gov at the time the offer is made. The performance period will be October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010 with four (4) one year option periods. The estimated price range for the initial base year and additional four (4) option year renewals is between $100,000 and $250,000. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued approximately August 15, 2009. To qualify to receive a copy of this Request for Proposal (RFP) prospective bidders must provide evidence that your firm is classified as a Small Business as defined by the Small Business Administration (SBA) (annual revenues not to exceed $16.5 Million Dollars, averaged over the past three (3) years) and have an active business address within a one hundred (100) radius of the General Mitchell International Airport 5330 S. Howell Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53207 and Timmerman Airport, 5001 N. 91st Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53225. The deadline for making RFP requests is August 7, 2009. Close of Business (COB) 4:30 PM. All requests to receive a copy must be in writing via e-mail or fax to the Contracting Officer Diane Ayen. diane.ayen@faa.gov, at 847-294-7321, with the company name, mailing address, telephone number, and the complete RFP number. No telephone request or request after the deadline of August 7, 2009, will be accepted. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
