- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH), Devision of Laboratory Science intends to award a sole source frim fixed price purchase order, in accordance with FAR Part 12, using simplified acquisition procedures, to Molins Machine Company/Cerulean Corporation, 3900 Carolina Avenue, Richmond, VA 23222-2205. Molins/Cerulean is the only known source that manufactures and distributes the ASM500 Smoking Machines and the Paper Porosity Instrument. Molins/Cerulean is the only known organization that has the capabilities to provide the necessary upgrades to the ASM 500 smoking machines and the Paper Porosity Meter, including training and installation. 1. 2 each ASM Upgrade, Pt. #53487, software, cable & camera resistor; 2 ea ASM upgrade, Lighter, PCB, alignment bar, Pt#53488; 2 ea ASM upgrade- Carmera window, fast evac; 2 ea Computer, PC New Dedicated Scientific Instrument Controller; 2 ea Installation; 1 ea Meter, Paper permeability, PPM1000M; 1 ea Clamp, Rectangular #40302; 1 ea clamp, twin orifact #40303; 1 ea Spares, consumable, #98920; 1 ea Discs, Calibration #50923; 1 ea Installation and training on site. CDC anticipates soliciting and awarding with only one source under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) permitting other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Molins/Cerulean is the only known source available to provide a product that meets mission critical requirements. No Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities/qualifications to provide the instruments, in writing to Richard Jenkins, via email ONLY at RJenkins@cdc.gov with the reference number (2009-73619-73584) referenced in the subject line, NO later than August 14, 2009, 12:00 PM Eastern Time.
