- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA4877-09-Q-0516 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-35, Defense Circular Number 20090715-1, Air Force Acquisition Circular 2009-0318. This procurement is being issued as a small business set aside under NAICS code 423910. 0001: Avalanche Transceiver; Mammut Pulse Barryvox Transceiver, Part #: 1071353, "or equal". Description: Transceiver includes digital search with optical distance and direction indication on graphic LCD display; 360 degree real-time directional display; 3 antennas for simple pinpointing in close range and for deeply buried victims;movement detector for analysis and transmission of vital data; Marking located victims;Overview of distance and direction of victims, as well as the number of victims;scalable software platform.
