- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to change the procurement from small business set aside to full and open competition and to still geographically restrict the performance of the cutter within 75 geographical miles from Yerba Buena Island, San Francisco, CA to the contractor's facility. The Request for quote will be issued on or about 21 August 2009. *The U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance & Logistics Command, Pacific (vpl) proposes a contract for the Dry-docking and Repairs of the CGC ASPEN (WLB-208) a Juniper Class 225 Sea Going Buoy Tender with home moorage in Yerba Buena Island, San Francisco, CA. The performance period will begin the 20 Jan 2010 and complete 31 Mar 2010. The work will be performed at the contractor’s facility this performance is geographically restricted 75 road miles within the cutters home moorage. Only one contract will be awarded for this procurement. The proposed work items include but are not limited to: Dry-docking, Temporary Services; Propulsion Shaft Rope Guard Inspect and Repair, Scuttle Replacement, Sea Bay Clean and Inspect, Propulsion Shaft Seal Mechanical Overhaul & Inflatable Renewal, Propulsion Shafting Remove, Inspect and Reinstall, Propulsion Shaft Bearing Stave Renewal, Hubs Maintenance, Air Conditioning Condenser Seawater Cooling Overboard Discharge Modification, Fathometer Transducers General Maintenance, Sea Strainers (All Sizes) Overhaul, Anchor Windlass (Gen) Level 2 Inspect and Repair, Anchor Chain and Ground Tackle Inspect and Repair, Buoy Decks (Exterior) Preserve, 100%, Cathodic Protection, Zinc Anode Renewal, Buoy and Cargo Crane Level 2 Inspect and Repair, Hull, Plating, Freeboard Preserve, Hull Plating Underwater Body Preserve, Partial, Sea Valve (>2.5 Inches) Overhaul, Boat Boom (Gen) Level 2 Inspect & Repair, Warping Capstan (Gen) Level 2 Inspect and Repair, Mechanical Chain and Ground Tackle Inspect and Repair, Thruster Generator Clean & Inspect.
