- Description
- The project is to obtain helicopter services to install fish habitat improvement structures on the South Fork of the Coquille River, Powers Ranger District, Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. Logs will be used to create structures such as complexes, defelectors, and weirs. This project will place approximately 60 conifer logs about 60 feet long and 22 to 44 inches diameter. It is estimated from weight charts that no log will weigh over 18,000 lbs. Logs will be decked in landings near the project site. Helicopter(s) used shall be capable of an estimated external payload of 18,000 pounds at 4,000 feet pressure altitude, with adequate fuel reserve to meet Federal Aviation Regulations and safety requirements. Solicitation will be available for download from FedBizOpps website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about August 14, 2009. Note: prospective awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base prior to award.
