- This is a combined snyopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format of FAR Part 12.6, as supplemented with FAR 13.5. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not be issued. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with Motorola Inc., 7031 Columbia Gateway Dr, Columbia, MD 21046. to provide Motorola ASTRO 25 IV&D Secure Communications Training. The proposed aquisition will be for one session containing 6-10 people. The workshop wil be held at a Motorola Training Facility to be named or on-site at the USCG Telecommunication and Information Systems Command, 7323 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, VA 22315. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 611420. The following FAR clauses apply to this solicitation and may be obtained electronically at http://www.arnet.gov/far: 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. All capability statements received by 2:00 PM EST on August 14, 2009 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determination whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY FOR COSTS INCURRED IN THE PREPERATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA OR OTHER COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
