- The above referenced solicitation is hereby amended to respond to questions submitted. The due date for quotations, July 31, 2009, at 1:00 PM ET, remains unchanged. Responses are hereby provided to questions submitted: QUESTION 1: "...let me know specifically (Renishaw Part #) what Renishaw optical components your user has..." RESPONSE 1: NIST has one (1) Renishaw 4 m straightness interferometer (Part #G10939); one (1) Renishaw straightness reflector (Part #G10939); one (1) Renishaw angular retroreflector (Part #G17714); and one (1) angular interferometer (Part #G08650). QUESTION 2: "...the spec asks for software compatibility yet the solicitation requires new XL software verses ML-10 software. This means this compatibility requirement is contradictory. Similarly, new XL software means there is by default a training component..." RESPONSE 2: Training is not a part of this solicitation. The compatibility requirement refers to the brand name justification in the solicitation; specifically, "NIST requires the replacement laser measurement system be fully compatible with these existing hardware and software components (including data files, mounting tripod, steering optics, other Renishaw optical components, etc.)".
