- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. The Government requires sustainment support services for the Control Display System (CDS), with the subject support being provided on-site at NSWC Crane Division. The sustainment support services will consist of engineering, repair, maintenance, technical, logistics, acquisition, and program management services for the CDS. This bridging effort for these sustainment support services will allow for no break in service prior to the procurement of this sustainment support under a competitively awarded contractual vehicle. Thus, this requirement will be negotiated on a sole-source basis to VT Aepco, 555 Quince Orchard Road, Suite 488, Gaithersburg, MD, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements", with VT Aepco being the contractor currently providing these services to the Government. The period of performance is to be six months, along with six (1) one month options. The Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry database, located at www.ccr.gov. The solicitation will be available on or about 18 AUG 2009 at the three websites cited above. Interested parties can download the solicitation from the three websites cited above, for no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. All responsible parties may submit a proposal for this acquisition, which will be considered by the Government by 16 SEPT 2009 at 3:30 PM EDST. Reference to the solicitation number cited above must be made when submitting a proposal.
