- This is a notification that the Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center Fort Sam Houston (CCMI-RCS), intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract to DIRECTV, Inc., 2230 E Imperial Hwy, El Segundo, CA 90245-3531, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 515210, with a small business size standard of $15.0M. The requirement is for contractor to provide continued satellite television service for the Brook Army Medical Center (BMAC). Services are to include: The Fundamentals, Family Favorites, Facts & Fantasy, all local channels, ESPN channels, NFL Network, Nicktoons, Noggin/The N and PBS Kids, XM Radio and Fox Sports. CCMI-RCS requires the following: Continued satellite television service to 538 television sets at BAMC from 01 Oct 2009 through 30 Sep 2010. If existing satellite television services lapse, BAMC would be without any television services. Functions affected by this lapse would include Command and Control, training, patient, visitor and staff morale. There are over 500 television sets in BAMC placed in patient rooms, waiting rooms, conference rooms, and command suite offices. BAMC owns the video distribution system for this service. This includes three satellite antennas, 22 satellite receivers, 24-fixed channel modulators, a TRAXXIS Pentagon antenna/receiver and miscellaneous headed equipment used for closed circuit broadcasting and channels distribution. This notice is not a request for quotations. The contractor identified is the only known source for the subject requirement. Responses to this notification will be used to determine if bona fide competition exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical and pricing information. The Government will not pay for information submitted. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
