SET-ASIDE IS SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED. VAJB Dental Renovation Project 537-309 Prebid Meeting Clarified Bidding Alternates 7/17/09 Base Bid: Drawings as currently shown. 1. Furniture and casework clarifications for the base bid. Base Bid: Equipment items #9, 11, 144 shall be provided by contractor, installed by contractor, and connected by contractor. The manufacturer of these items are A?dec, or equal. Item #9 ( Center Console): Manufacturer includes sink and faucet; however, Contractor will modify faucets in field to be handsfree type; refer to sheet P001, SK?1. All other custom millwork in Treatment Bays #4453, 4452, 4443, 4445; Teaching Unit #4448; Hygienist #4454, 4442; Triage #4438, 4439; Periodontal #4409, 4411; Endodontal #4410, 4412; Maxillofacial #4423, 4422, 4427, 4426 and Instrument Prep # 4453A, 4447, 4440, 4444, 4413, 4429 are to remain as custom millwork. Disregard the phrase "Alternate Bid" written in the remark column of the equipment matrix. Bid Item 1: Work contemplated in Base Bid with application of Alternate deduct #1 Alternate Deduct #1: Total Project Scope and Finish Reductions Equipment items #9, 11, 144 shall be provided by owner, installed by contractor and connected by contractor. Delete all wood ceilings and replace with 2 x 2 Acoustical Ceiling Tile. Delete all Gyp. Bd Ceilings and replace with 2 x 2 ACT; with exception of Toilet Rooms and Soiled Utility Rooms. Delete all wainscot wall systems and replace with paint except in new waiting room. Delete CMU wall around Mechanical Rooms and replace with 2 layers of 5/8" gyp. bd. and sound batts. Delete auto door openers and replace with manual hardware double corridor doors to be on hold open connected to fire alarm. Delete Gyp. Bd. soffit and cove lighting in Waiting Area. Delete ICU Breakaway Doors in all Maxillofacial Rooms, replace with half lite door and 12"sidelite. Delete all Transom-lite windows. Delete all Card Readers, install conduits boxes and blank of covers Delete all camera wiring and its conduit. Delete new compressed air within surgical wing only. Delete all individual temperature controls and replace with a 9 zone system. Delete second DX cooling coil in each air handling unit keep space for addition at a later date. Bid Item 2: Work contemplated in Base Bid with application of Alternate deduct #1 and #2 Alternate Deduct #2: Specialty Dental A-dec casework Delete all specialty A-dec dental casework from bid (this casework to be purchased separately by owner, installed by contractor) Bid Item 3: Work contemplated in Base Bid with application of Alternate deduct #1, #2 and #3 Alternate Deduct #3: Delete Renovation of Existing Dental Area (Future Oral Surgery Area) Delete all demolition and new construction from column line O,4 North and East. (see attached sketch) This is the existing dental department and shall remain intact, as is. New south AHU to be included and ductwork will service all of new construction. Connections to existing MEP systems to remain intact and operational for existing dental area remaining in place. Provide access to existing dental area while constructing new area. Bid Item 4: Work contemplated in Base Bid with application of Alternate deduct #1, #2, #3, and #4 Alternate Deduct #4: Delete Renovation of Existing Radiology Area (Future Revised Toilets Entry and Staff Areas) Delete all demolition and new construction from column line O, 5 South and West. (see attached sketch) This is some of the evacuated radiology department and shall remain intact, as is. New south AHU to be included and ductwork will service all of new construction. Connections to existing MEP systems to remain intact and operational for existing dental area remaining in place. Provide access to existing dental area while constructing new area. Bid Item 5: Work contemplated in Base Bid with application of Alternate deduct #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5. Alternate Deduct #5: Delete Renovation of Existing Radiology Offices (Future New Waiting Room) Delete all demolition and new construction from column line O, 5 South and East. (see attached sketch) This is some of the evacuated radiology offices and shall remain intact, as is. New south AHU to be included and ductwork will service all of new construction.
