- Description
- The purpose of this Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Single Award Task Order Contract is to upgrade the security system at USDA-ARS-MWA, National Soil Tilth Laboratory (NSTL), Ames, IA. The scope of the work includes, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of existing card readers with new and the installation of new card readers; the replacement of security system controllers with new; associated door hardware modifications including the installation of door contacts and request to exit devices and associated equipment; and devices for a complete and properly operating upgrade of the facility’s security system. Individual task orders will be issued and will identify each section of NSTL as it is available to be upgraded. Estimated Period of Performance: One Year. The Magnitude of the total project is estimated between $750,000 to $1,000,000. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be procured as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible Businesses may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code is 238210 and the annual size standard under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program for this project is 14 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-35. Solicitation No. AG-5114-S-09-AA25 is scheduled for uploading on or about August 14, 2009. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. It is highly recommended and strongly encouraged that all prospective bidders visit the project site, inspect and observe the site conditions, and review the project scope and requirements at the site prior to submission of a bid. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. Bids will be due by 2:00 PM on September 14, 2009. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
