- This Invitation for Bid is for an AML Emergency Reclamation project sponsored by the Department of the Interior's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation & Enforcement Appalachia Team in Ashland, KY. Proposed reclamation involves the mobilization and demobilization of the contractor's men, equipment and materials. Site preparation as detailed in the technical specifications. Landslide excavation and placement in an off-site waste area. The installation of surface drainage control structures. Site regrading and revegetation of disturbed areas. A pre-bid conference will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 11:00 AM. Prospective bidders are to meet at: From the intersection of Rt. 1426 and Rt. 1460 (Chloe Rd.) in Pikeville, KY, travel Rt. 1460 1.3 miles and turn left on Walter's Road. Travel 1.0 miles and the site is on the left. Sealed bids will be opened on site as announced by the Contracting Officer.
