- J&A Exception to Fair Opportunity The U.S. General Services Administration, Federal Acquisition Service intends to issue a contract to Puckett Power Systems under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, through GSA Task Order 4QCP21095599. INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Puckett Power Systems for the purchase of Caterpillar Generator Maintenance on the Caterpillar Generator #3516B located at the US Army Engineer & Development Research Center, located in Vicksburg, MS. Contractor shall provide preventative and remedial maintenance for identified systems. Contractor to provide all labor, documentation, spare and repair parts, maintenance supplies, tools, diagnostics, and test equipment necessary to promptly and efficiently conduct preventative and remedial maintenance on identified systems The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those under the authority of FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. A determination not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This request is not a notice for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. All information should be submitted via email to Tracey M. Burress at mildred.burress@gsa.gov. Responses must be submitted by COB July 31, 2009. All information submitted on or before this date will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
