THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER N68711-04-D-3001, DRY UTILITIES INDEFINITE DELIVERY INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) MULTIPLE AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT (MACC)FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION OF VARIOUS DRY UTILITIES AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS WITHIN THE SOUTHWEST AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ARIZONA, CALIFORNIA, NEVADA AND NEW MEXICO The three (3) Contractors listed on this MACC are as follows: Stronghold Engineering, (951) 684-9303;Synergy Electric Company, (619)596-7688;Syska Hennessy Group Construction, Inc. The solicitation will not be made available on this website. Summary of Project Scope: The project is to provide design, construction, testing, and utility interconnection for a total of three (3) carports mounted Solar Photovoltaic Power Systems (SPVPS) at three separate locations at Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake, California. Provide vehicle parking canopies and install the SPVPS, including all electrical interconnections and structural supports. The SPVPS will supply rated alternating current (AC) as specified below, complete with Photovoltaic (PV) Modules and panels, main and sub components (e.g. combiner boxes, safety switches, inverters), equipment mounting and supports, wiring, and a web-based Data Acquisition and Monitoring System (DAS) required to provide a complete, fully operational and reliable PV system. Suitable roofs of at least 25 years expected life and no structural issues shall be built to support the entire solar array. The PV electrical generating system shall be connected to Government electrical distribution system. However, modification to the existing utility interconnection agreement is required to add the new system. Provide to the Government, all the necessary documents to modify the existing Interconnection Agreement with the Edison Gas & Electric. Option Item 1: Replace the post & beam frame with cantilever column T frame structure at the Hangar 1 parking lot. Option Item 2: Replace the post & beam frame with cantilever column T frame structure at the Range Control parking lot. The duration of the project is 380 calendar days from date of award, which consists of 365 calendar days, and 15 calendar days for bonds submissions. Projected issue date of the Request for Proposal to MACC Contractors: Approximately August 6, 2009.
