Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the procurement of four (4) new, Narrow Aisle Order Selector Trucks, electric-powered, 24 volt, 3000 lb. Lift capacity, 213 inches MFH (minimum), power steering. The equipment will be delivered to the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Oklahoma City, OK, on or before September 28, 2009. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed-price type contract will be awarded to fulfill this requirement. This market survey is to request information that will enable the FAA to make a screening decision to determine qualified firms that have the ability to provide this equipment. The FAA reserves the right to add incumbent contractors and/or other sources which meet the criteria and have performed satisfactorily on previous procurements. Accordingly, it has been determined that only firms meeting the following minimum requirements will be solicited: Responses are solicited only from small business concerns. If the results of the market survey determine a sufficient number of Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB/8a) are capable of providing this equipment, the requirement will be set-aside exclusively for SEDB small businesses. If adequate response is not received from small or SEDB small businesses, this requirement will be advertised for full-and-open competition. (1) To be considered the contractor must be classified as a small business under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 333319 - 500 employees. (2) Complete/submit the Business Declaration form, attached, with your response. All interested sources must submit their Business Declaration form in writing (FAX No. 405-954-9219) or via e-mail (barbara.smith@faa.gov) by August 7, 2009. Please address your submittal to: Attn: BJ Smith, PR No. AC0907157. All inquiries regarding the market survey should be directed to the Contracting Specialist, Barbara Smith, in writing via e-mail. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
