- •This is a Request for Information only. This is not a solicitation or request for proposals. PRICING SUBMISSIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME. This notice seeks Expressions of Interest only from Small Businesses for VALUE ENGINEERING SERVICES for various United States Diplomatic facilities world wide. The diplomatic facilities include new construction of Embassy compounds, office buildings, and residential buildings, other facilities and infrastructures, and rehabilitation and security upgrades of existing facilities. A Certified Value Specialist (CVS) as certified by SAVE International, The Value Society, will be required to oversee all value engineering work. VE teams will consist of a multi-disciplined group of licensed architects and engineers who will work on the VE studies exclusively for the length of each study (generally, three to five consecutive work days). Sought services include the following: The core team members may include the following disciplines: civil, architecture, structural, mechanical, cost estimating, construction, and electrical disciplines and may require specialized expertise in interior design, landscape architecture, fire, physical security, technical security, telecommunications, geotechnical, LEEDS, sustainability design, project risk/performance analysis, and planning expertise, planning, interior design, cost estimating, and electrical, mechanical, civil, geotechnical and structural engineering. This Sources Sought incorporates provision 52.215-3 Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997) as prescribed by 15.209(c). Informational material must be received by 3:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on August 20, 2009.
