Description
This publication serves as notice of intent to procure services from Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management for the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Nationla Marine Fisheries Service located in Seattle, WA for the collection of summer, extreme low tide airborne lidar data. The Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management administers the Puget Sound LiDAR Consortium (PSLC), the only entity of its kind in the Puget Sound region. The PSLC provides mechanisms for subcontracting LiDAR and orthophoto data collection, performing QA/QC on the data, and distributing data. The PSLC's technical contractor, Watershed Sciences, is an established provider of high quality remote sensing data that has worked on a number of projects directly related to ours, including the collection of LiDAR data for NOAA in the Salmon River estuary in Oregon, and areas adjacent to our study areas in the Snohomish. Personnel and equipment that would be used on our project are located nearby in Portland and Corvalis, Oregon, and can be mobilized quickly to take advantage of favorable tide conditions in July and August, 2009. This procurement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. **** The Westren Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registey (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http//www.ccr.gov.
