Description

Request for Proposals for Premium Fundraising and Seasonal Card Programs The Smithsonian Institution's Smithsonian Enterprises division (the "Smithsonian") seeks a relationship with a direct response, marketing company to develop, promote, and fully execute a seasonal card program and a year-round premium fundraising program beginning in calendar year 2010 (collectively, the "Programs"). Interested companies must be willing to develop programs and products insired by or adapted from the Smithsonian collections and its mission. This is not a solicitation for a federal contract and is therefore not governed by federal procurement procedures. If your company is interested in working with the Smithsonian to develop, promote, and fully execute either or both Programs, please review the attached RFP package and submit your qualifications in accordance with the attached instructions and conditions. Please note that this RFP will be conducted in two phases: The first phase involves the submission of qualifications. A short list of offerors will be selected based on these submissions. The second phase, which will be conducted with the short-listed offerors, will include a meeting with Smithsonian representatives and submission of proposals. To be considered, you must submit one (1) original and six (6) copies of your qualification materials as detailed in the RFP by no later than 2:00 P.M. Eastern time, on August 19, 2009. Requested materials must be received by this deadline in order to be considered.
