Description

The contractor shall provide SSP Shipboard Integration (SSI) Increment 1 (MK 98 Mod 6 FCS) Installation and check-0ut (I&C) planning for the third through eighth US SSBN, the UKSF and UKTF Land based facilities and the 1st and 2nd UK SSBNs. The contractor shall continue development of the site-specific US and UK SSI Deployment Execution Plans (SDEPs) which includes a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), Integrated Test Matrices (ITMS), Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), SSBN SPALT installation sequencing changes and coordination with local Navy/Contractor personnel. All efforts shall be performed in accordance with the T9001B checklist dated April 25, 2007 Fire Control Type, Produciton Column. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
