Description

The contractor shall migrate the MK 98 MOD 6/7 Enhanced Guidance Interface Subsystem (EGISS) into a new Millile and GuidanceInterface Subsystem (MGISS) that will reside in the Millile Interface Box (MIB) as defined in OD 65957 (revision draft). Program Plan for the SSP Shipboard Integration (SSi) Increment 4 MK 98 MOD 8/9 Fire Control System (FCS) Program. All efforts shall be performed in accordance with the T9001B checklist dated April 25, 2007 Fire Control Type, BOA column, incorporated as part of the basic ordering agreement. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
