- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, Port Hueneme, CA intends to procure the following items that are listed as open market items: GE FANUC V7865 VME-64 CORE DUO PROCESSOR CARD P/N: V7865-114010 Quantity 2 Description: The NAICS code is 334220 and the Small Business Standard is 100 Employees. This combined synopsis/solicitation is a Sole Source. The contract type will be firm fixed price. This requirement is SOLE SOURCED to: GE FANUC V7865 VME-64 CORE DUO PROCESSOR CARD P/N: V7865-114010, utilized to provide additional processor capacity to implement multi sensor track correlation and to implement new copper Ethernet communication interfaces to the Phalanx close in weapon system and the Integrated Automatic Detection and Tracking System, capabilities previously not available in the TAS OSM AN/UYK-44 computer. GE FANUC INTELLIGENT PLATFORMS, as the only source that can produce these parts due to the legacy nature and uniqueness of the OSM AN/UYK-44 computer hardware, only a single vender has been located which has a card compatible with the existing Fleet deployed legacy computer hardware, meets operational environment requirements and meets the software development requirements for Code S23 and its support contractor. Any firms believing that they can provide these parts, per part number, may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this note. It must clearly show the firms ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the part without causing programmatic hardship.
