Description
JMMS N00024-09-R-6213, Site Visit to ASDS The Government is contemplating a site visit to the existing Advanced SEAL Delivery System (ASDS) vessel located in Pearl, Hawaii for industry participants who would plan to compete in a Joint Multi-Mission Submersible (JMMS) procurement should the government decide to actually enter into a procurement for such vehicles. Visitors will be required to possess a Secret clearance. Space will be limited to not more than 2 individuals per company. Interested participants are asked to respond to this notice within 5 business days of this announcement. Please send your intent to participate, company name, name of individuals, contact phone number and email address, and any questions you may have regarding the planned site visit to marquita.smith@navy.mil. Any questions received will be answered and posted on the JMMS iPDM website. The intent of this site visit is to allow potential (JMMS) Offerors the opportunity to tour the existing ASDS pressure hull in order to make observations of the hull configuration. The ASDS vessel condition is suitable for HM&E type of inspection. Questions will not be answered during the site visit/tour. Written questions will be permitted after the site visit. All questions and answers will be posted on the JMMS iPDM website. A date for the site visit is not yet planned and will depend on industry response to this announcement. The Government anticipates the site visit will occur this fiscal year, or at the very latest, prior to release of a final RFP for JMMS should the government decide to actually enter into a procurement for such vehicles. Once the Government has assessed the responses to this notice, a schedule will be determined and announced on NECO. More information will be relayed at that time as to security and safety requirements for participation. This announcement does not constitute a commitment by the Government to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP), contract or order. Additionally, the Government will not pay for any effort expended in response to this announcement.
