- Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Ballistic Prevention Shields/Mobile Defense Fighting Positions (MDFP's) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6. The solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ), RFQ # M62204-09-Q-9065. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-32. This is a restricted purchase set-aside for 100% small business concerns. CLIN 0001 QTY: 04 MOBILE DEFENSE FIGHTING POSITIONMobile Defense Fighting Position stand-alone shield. to provide ballistic protection for security personnel at base access points. These shields will provide head to toe, full vision, mobile coverage forindividuals and teams. Mobile fighting positions must be 30-06 AP bullet, blast and fragment resistant and must meet NIJ (National Institute of Justice) level III-A for resistance up to the.44 magnum round. CLIN 0002 QTY: FREIGHTF.O.B. Destination is preferred but not required CLIN 0003 QTY: 04 REAR SWIVEL CASTERSRear Swivel Casters to compliment Mobile Defensive Fighting Position (MDFP) stand-alone shields. The DS-004 casters will allow shields to be operational mobile on unimproved surfaces such as gravel, sand, grass, and rougher surfaces. The casters are 3 inch in diameter, 4.5 inches in height, 1.5 inches in width and weigh 10 lbs. The assembly units consist of a customized bracket and caster wheels. Place of contract delivery and acceptance will be at Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Barstow California, 92311-5050 The vendor selected for award is required to be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and must also be registered with and invoice through Wide Area Workflow (WAWF). The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government considering best value, technical specification, price, and ability to deliver in a timely manner. *** It is very important that all vendors and contractors follow all instructions provided below when submitting quotes. *** Please include include with your quote, Delivery Date, DUNS #, CAGE Code #, and Tax ID #.
