- Note: All responses to this IFB shall be mailed to Western AreaPowerAdministration, P.O. Box 6457, Phoenix, AZ 85005-6457. Physical addressforhand carried bids: Western Area Power Administration, 615 S. 43rd Ave,Phoenix, AZ 85009. Western Area Power Administration, Desert South West Region, has arequirementfor a contractor to provide roadway mitigation work located along 22 milesofaccess road at various sites on or near the right of way for the Path 15transmission line. The roadway mitigation work will include, furnishing and installing corrugated metal pipe culvert, roadway grating, Earth embankment construction and repair of roadway prism, environmental protection, andstormwater and runoff pollution control measures. Construction of the following; rock armored low water crossings, drainage ditches and culvert inletbasins,rock fill slopes in areas prone to erosion, slope protection and drainageditches with stone riprap armoring. The work to be performed is near LosBanosand Gates, Fresno County, California. The estimated magnitude of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000.TheNAICS code for the project is 237310 and the size standard is $33.5Million.The work is located between Los Banos substation and Gates substation,which isin Fresno County, California. This is a 100% HUBZone set-aside - SealedBids.All work is to be completed by September 30, 2010. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Agency. Anynon-U.S. citizen (Foreign National) visiting or working at any Western Area Power Administration facility must receive prior written approval from theappropriate Western Security Manager. The solicitation, specifications and drawings, and any subsequentamendmentswill only be available in electronic format, downloadable from theinternet. NoCD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. It is anticipated thatthesolicitation, specifications and drawings, will be available for downloadathttp://e-center.doe.gov/ or http://www.fbo.gov ( http://www.fbo.gov/ )(clickon the link under Additional Info) on or about August 20, 2009. It is theresponsibility of the bidders to monitor the website for notices andamendments. No phone calls will be accepted.
