Description
Shark Nursery Survey Manual Statement of Work for sampling shark nursery grounds in Florida The National Marine Fisheries Science Center located at 28 Tarzwell Drive, Narragansett, Rhode Island 02882 has a requirement for the services of a contractor to furnish the necessary personnel, materials, equipment, services and facilities to identify sampling stations in putative coastal shark nursery grounds in Florida in consort with COASTSPAN personnel. Set gill nets and longline gear at pre-selected stations to sample juvenile and neonate sharks for 3-7 days per month, April through December as necessary and weather permitting, take required environmental data at each station, identify, enumerate, examine and tag sharks, collect CPUE, location and tag data. Assemble catch data and tag data by month and station into chart form and prepare monthly sampling reports to share with NMFS Narragansett COASTSPAN team. All data must be submitted by September 1, 2010 in accordance with that attached Statement of Work and Survey Manual.
