Description
SF 18 Coral Disease Guides RFQ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supply prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). EU133C-09-RQ-1084 is issued hereto as a request for quotation (RFQ). This acquisition is set-aside 100% for Small Business under the authority of FAR 6.203. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 813312 with a size standard of $7.0 m. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, ALL CONTRACTORS must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for an award of a Federal Contract. For Information regarding registration in CCR, contact the CCR website at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. Contractors are asked to provide their Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) nine digit number Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. Contractors are encouraged to register with the FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service. Offers maybe submitted by Fax to 843-762-8700 or email to Karen.Laskowski@noaa.gov. A hard copy maybe mailed to National Ocean Service c/o Karen Laskowski, 219 Fort Johnson Road, Charleston, SC 29412. Quotes are to remain effective for 60 days after close of the solicitation. Telephone requests will not be honored. It is the offeror's responsibility to check this web site for all information related to this procurement. All requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be disregarded. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which, if received in a timely manner, shall be considered by the agency. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to Karen.Laskowski@noaa.gov This requirement is for the purchase of 200 coral disease identification guide manuals for western Atlantic coral diseases. The Guides content must have been developed by experts with documented knowledge and experience (e.g., publications) in coral disease identification and coral biology. The Guides must be specific for western Atlantic Coral Diseases and composed of original images of coral disease and other signs of mortality. The Guide will also contain detailed descriptions of these diseases, the diagnostic criteria to be used in field descriptions and include a key to identify and differentiate among different disease states from gross observations in situ. The Guide will have full color pictures of the different contained on plastic spiral bound pages 6x8 inches in size with one panel dedicated for each major disease (i.e., white band disease, yellow band disease, white plague, pigmented band diseases, growth anomalies, white syndrome and predation). The Guide's information content shall also include a breakdown of different lesions and illustrations of a step by step process to identify these lesions and illustrations of different types of lesions accepted in the coral literature. Diagnostic criteria and examples to illustrate the accepted terminology must be included as well as terminology to describe their location on the colony.
