Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. This is a synopsis for the Clip-On Thermal Imager (COTI). The COTI is a thermal imaging system that provides a capability to view a thermal imaging scene while wearing a night vision goggle (NVG). The COTI image is displayed through the front objective of the NVG and is viewed within the NVG eyepiece. These systems are anticipated to be procured utilizing FAR Part 12 with full and open competition on a "Best Value" basis. Two (2) product samples will be required with each proposal 30-45 days from the issue date on the solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation will result in a five (5) year ordering period Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for a minimum of 10 ea. and maximum of: 6000 ea. COTI systems. Delivery required FOB Destination to Crane, IN, delivery required 60 days from the date of order. For information contact Chuck Lakin, 812-854-5631, or e-mail: charles.lakin@navy.mil. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334511 and the size standard is 750 employees, Federal Supply Class 5855. This effort will be awarded utilizing FAR Part 12.
