Description
This is a Best Value contract for multiple Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) service contracts under which firm-fixed price (FFP) task orders will be issued for the Facilities Reduction Program requirements identified in the Performance Work Statement. The Facilities Reduction Program consists of removal, demolition and/or deconstruction of small to very large buildings and structures to include the removal of trees and vegetation, parking lots, drives, sidewalks, roadways, utility and electrical disconnections, removal and rerouting utility connections, removal of outbuildings, site-assessments, environmental assessments, abatement of facilities contaminants (i.e. lead, asbestos, chemicals, PCBs, petroleum byproducts), removal of above or underground storage tanks, recycling of building materials, redirection of debris waste streams, value engineering, site restoration, data collection, data analysis and reporting, both hazardous and non-hazardous debris transportation, environmental sampling, and other activities pertaining to demolition, destruction, reduction and restoration. Projects may also include emergency response to disasters causing either man-made or natural destruction, such as hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, terrorist activities, etc. Contractors must be capable of mobilizing equipment and personnel with very short notice within specified time constraints. Work will consist primarily of demolition services throughout the Northeastern part of the continental United States. The following states are included in this contract for the Northeast Region: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. This contract is awarded based on full and open competition for unrestricted ID/IQ Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOCs), resulting in award of five contracts for a shared aggregate capacity of approximately $60 million dollars over five years (one base year plus four one-year options) with a shared aggregate capacity of up to $12 million dollars per year. The first task order under this suite of ID/IQ contracts was awarded to MARCOR Remediation in the amount of $1,998,391.18. This task order was awarded simultaneously with award of the base contracts. This contract was awarded by the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center.
