Description
DESCRIPTION: The NF/SG Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 intent to sole source with TUCKER-DAVIS TECHNOLOGIES (TDT), for the Psychoacoustics and Speech Workstation. This sole source basis is pursuant to VAAR 873 & 38 USC 8153 and FAR 6.302-1 for the Psychoacoustics and Speech Workstation. TDT is the sole source manufacturer for the Psychoacoustics and Speech Workstation. The TDT Psychoacoustic and Speech Workstation are dedicated hardware and software that is used to obtain high fidelity acoustic recordings and to generate, manipulate and reproduce sound signal with a very high level of precision. This system allows complete control over the acoustic signals thereby allowing researchers to reproduce and deliver sound to a listener with very high accuracy. This system includes a comprehensive set of hardware and software tools for animal and human psychophysics. Two channels of 24-bit Sigma-Delta D/A and A/D provide signal generation and acquisition that extends from DC into the ultrasonic range. A microphone amplifier is provided for acoustic recordings and a headphone buffer allows system output to be monitored with headphones. If desired, a monitor speaker can easily be added. The system also includes two channels of programmable attenuation and a four-button response box for implementing subject response interfaces. SykofizX software offers a large collection of experimental paradigms and customization options for computer control of your experiments. With onboard wizards and an extensive library of examples, the software guides you through your experimental setup and allows for customization of the experimental paradigm, hardware configuration, and subject interfaces. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 334419. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals.
