RECOVERY THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W912DS-09-B-0013. Asbestos removal, Caven Point Marine Terminal Buildings at Jersey City, New Jersey. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New York District intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the award of a firm fixed contract for the Asbestos Removal, Caven Point Marine Terminal Buildings at Jersey City, New Jersey. The project consists of: removal and disposal of transit panels containing asbestos from the walls and ceilings of the shop, store room and boiler room (approximately 11,000 square feet); relocate, as necessary, all conduits, piping and utilities; replacing the transit material with insulation and fire rated sheetrock; and reinstallation once the asbestos is removed. The estimated cost range for this project is $1,000,000 to $1,500,000. The project is being solicited as SMALL-BUSINESS SET ASIDE ONLY. The applicable NAICS code is 562910 with a size standard of $14.0 million. Plans and specifications for Solicitation W912DS-09-B-0013 will be available on or about 07 AUG 2009. Bids will be submitted to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division, Room 1843, 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY 10278. Bid opening date is on or about 10 September 2009 at 2:00PM EST and will be held at 26 Federal Plaza, Room 1841, New York, New York, 10278. The media selected for issuance of Synopsis/Solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this solicitation and amendment, if any, will not be available or issued.
