Description
This is a Request for Information (RFI) for planning purposes only. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. No solicitation document exists or is guaranteed to be issued as a result of this RFI. The Chemical Biological Medical Systems, Medical Identification Treatment Systems, Critical Reagents Program (CRP) is seeking information on the capabilities of various commercial entities in the area listed below. The CRP's mission is to serve as the principle resource of high quality, validated, and standardized biological detection assays and reagents that meet the requirements of the Warfighter and Joint Biological Defense community by facilitating the transition of new technologies and coordinating their advanced development, efficient production and timely distribution. The Government is interested in receiving information from qualified companies on their ability to conduct performance testing of CRP's current packaging designs to support a validated thermal protocol. These designs utilize wood cleated panel board boxes, fiberboard containers, and cooler packs. CRP would like to document the maintenance of the desiigns for temperature sensitive products (2-8 degrees C) at a performance duration of 72 hours minimum and 120 hours maximum to support 3 ambient temperature ranges (Cold, Moderate, and Warm). Respondents are invited to provide reading materials related to their capabilities as well as any pricing information available. The CRPs packaging designs are attached. The Government will retain comments and information received in response to this RFI. Proprietary information should be identified as Company Proprietary. Responses should be addressed to the Government Contract Specialist, Leo Fratis: Leo.Fratis@us.army.mil. Respondents shall designate a company point of contact for the Government. Preferred media is electronic (i.e. Microsoft Word, Portable Document Format, or Microsoft PowerPoint) via e-mail submission. However, other media types (i.e. CD, printed technical information) will be accepted and should be sent to U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command, ATTN: Leo Fratis, 64 Thomas Johnson Drive, Frederick, MD 21702. Material that is advertisement only in nature is not desired.
