Description

The purpose of this amendment is to provide written answers to several questions that have been submitted by potential offerors. These questions, along with responses to them can be found below. Q: What is the CheckPoint account number that these products will be going into? A: The CheckPoint Account Number that the required products will be going into is Account Number 0005241093. Q: You indicate that you are looking at both co-termed and 12 months support. I'm assuming by that, that you mean you would like to know what the yearly cost will be going forward for maintenance. Do you mean for that particular item only? Or for the entire account? A: With regards to co-terming the maintenance: the intention of NIST is to co-term maintenance on all new items with our existing CheckPoint maintenance, which expires on 02/28/2010, and also purchase an additional year of maintenance for the new items (03/01/2010 - 02/28/2011). Q: I notice that you will be trading in a CPMP-SCPRO-U-NG among others. Will you be managing the firewalls from a central server or will you be managing them separately? If you will be managing them centrally, you will need to split a management SKU to keep the SmartCenter so this can be done. A: NIST will be managing firewalls from a central server using the CheckPoint Smart-1 (25 site) devices that are included in this procurement.
