Description
The 5th Contracting squadron requires repair of the Fire Department HVAC system, bldg 896 at Minot AFB, ND. The statement of magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Performance Period is 90 calendar days. Work shall be executed in accordance with the government Statement of Work. Water and electricity required will be furnished by the Government. The work is not in a restricted area. Liquidated damages will be assessed for late performance. A one-year Warranty of Construction will be applicable to this requirement. Notice to Offerors: Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors); The Small Business Size Standard is $14,000,000 in average annual receipts for the last three years. Work consists of repairing the fire department HVAC including the installation of Energy Recovery Ventilators (REV) on the exhaust and fresh air into the building. The return air is also ducted to the air handler in the mechroom on the second floor so the return is handled with ducted return. The mechroom shall be sealed off so the fresh air supplied all goes through the (REV). The supply diffusers are moved in several areas and the air system is balanced according to the plan. The complete solicitation package, which includes the project Statement of Work, will be made available without charge only through the FedBizOpps website at https://fbo.gov/. Anyone wishing to participate in this proposed procurement must obtain their copy from the internet. Copies will not be mailed from the Contracting Office. All amendments will be posted on FedBizOpps. Contractors will be solely responsible for obtaining amendments from this site to keep updated. This project will be solicited as a 100% small business set-aside with the intent to award a Firm-Fixed Price Contract based on "Lowest Price Technically Acceptable" process. Solicitation will be available electronically on FedBizOps on or about 18 August 2009 with an anticipated closing date on or about 15 Sept 2009.
